Where do we begin?
Hi there! This is Amber. I wanted to give you a little inside scoop on how I decided to do a photography business. Barry Designs came to life during a dream session we had one morning in February of 2023. As Phillip and I talked, prayed, and shed tears of joy, we were overwhelmed at what God is doing in our hearts and lives.
I decided to pursue formal education to gain a deeper understanding of photography's fundamentals and learn how to use a camera effectively. It took me about two quarters to complete my certification, and though some aspects of the education were more engaging than others, I remained committed and saw it through. Throughout my studies, I had several opportunities to work with different individuals and groups, but I found myself consistently drawn back to a realization: "This really isn't my style." Defining my style isn't always easy to articulate, but I know it when I see it!
I'm drawn to a clean, minimal aesthetic with a warm undertone. Neutral colors dominate my home decor, wardrobe, graphic design, and everything in between!
This year, I really want to start designing things for people such as logos, branding & Christian artwork that incorporates photography at some capacity. I don't know what God has planned but I know it's going to be good. Our family just wants to find ways to bless people in a creative way!
